How time flies! I feel like so much has happened in the blink of an eye. Time is strange like that, both elusive and yet working its mojo on everything... including us, whether we like it or not ;)
The Eastern traditions place a big emphasis on the truth of impermanence - the reality that nothing lasts. We can readily observe how Nature works in cycles & seasons, and so does our life. Still, most of us will have a tendency to resist change and cling to what we know, often to the point where we get stuck in old ways that don’t work for us anymore. Sounds familiar?
🌪 Sometimes it takes a crisis, like an illness or a loss of some kind for us to finally face the things that hold us back. These experiences can be both intense and liberating - when things fall apart, you see more clearly the big picture and cut through the BS. While difficult, these experiences can show us how to be fierce, true, & FREE.
In Hindu tradition, this energy is represented by the Goddess Kali (check her out) who governs time, death, and transformation. 👹 She’s this dark, wild & radical female energy who both terrifies us into waking up while loving us to death like a Great Mother. As part of a training this month, I got to create a short practice and meditation around Kali which I’m sharing with you. Enjoy!
